Barrage becomes a Steel type move. I don't think the games have ever implied this but I would like to think of the balls as specifically cannon balls. I think it would make sense for a Pokemon like Forrestress to learn more moves that launch projectiles. Other cannon/gun pokemon should get it too like Octillery
