No, but it should be limited exclusively to Rock types + Smeargle. Give people a reason to use Rock types.

stealth rock should be changed to only affect flying or levitating pokemon, and to ignore type effectiveness. that way players would have a reason to choose spikes or t.spikes over it.

i agree completely. the fact nearly every pokemon has access to it is also busted. in the 1600 elo bracket, i have played against idiots who have gone entirely out of their way to get rocks up, as in lost 3 mons in the process and taken switch turn damage, only for me to rapid spin or defog. then they forfeit. it's actually

Same. I often use a mon to counter common SR leads and most of the times it's a free kill.
Even when I play randbats instead, everyone likes to go for it as soon as they can, usually as their second mon if it's not on the lead.

It being the first gym leader makes it more accessible. From start to Roark takes like an hour and a half.

Breeding can pass TM moves, make sure you put it on a male mon and know your egg groups if you want to use more than one mon with Stealth Rock.

Stealth rock was fine in gen 6 when defog was at its peak. Gen 8's boots ruined what was a perfect hazard game, so now we play a game where every ground type has spikes, a pokemon that blocks rapid spin AND defog exists, and very few pokemon learn defog now.

All beacause stall niggers slapped boots on regenerator mons with u-turn moves.

always was a dumb concept, every other hazard was ground only because it's what makes sense
Should have made it the effect of hail or some thunderstorm weather that causes a small thunder to hit flying pokemon that switch in if they wanted an anti-flying hazard
