Mythical Pokémon always come out at the end of a generation and this drought of content is the perfect time to release a mystery gift event to drum up hype for the start of Gen X when Legends ZA launches on the Swotch 2

I think they must have decided recently to move away from event only mythicals. with how PLA lets you catch all the Sinnoh mythicals - granted, you need save data from other games. that's how they'll get you now. no limited time events, but you're gonna have to pay.

It will end just like eshop, most likely at the same time. Nothing is truly permanent. As long as the switch lives the berry will remain available, so you can't really call it an event.

If Darkrai and Shaymin are "paid DLC," then so are Mew and Jirachi. It's called having more than one game, though.

I guess PLZA could require SwSh for Diancie, PLA for Hoopa and SV for Volcanion. Maybe BDSP for Genesect? It was randomly mentioned by a Hiker in XY as being associated with Glittering Cave.
