Xen's morale would likely implode after the first 1000 and everything would deteriorate fast for them. I can't imagine anyone listening to the Xen admins telling them to zerg rush to their deaths after it's clear things aren't working out for them. Meteor clears them no sweat due to both everything you said and having way easier logistics for mobilizing their strong stuff being pokeballs as opposed to the supply lines necessary to sustain conventional weapons.

They never make good use of the Rifts besides Volcanion having a practical use and it's not like it's established Zetta can't just make more of them, in fact it's stated he can just keep Rifts stored in a passive state for as long as he wants, but he never makes use of this for one because Jan is an incompetent moron and second because they want him to be redeemed later, the ladder is handled really badly, especially in v13.5 because they removed much of his personality in favor of generic edgy dialogue.
And yeah, Alexandra is such a shit character.

High likelihood Jolene gets Regieleki unless Jan decides Volta for whatever reason needs to become relevant to the plot in some way, Regidraco like Wagie said will likely be given to Damien, though I would love if it was given to literally anyone else except a few select shitters.

Well, the game desperately wants you to love her and forces you to go into dates with her in the most forced way possible because Jan wants to shove a good chunk of the cast in your face in rapid fire fashion to try and make you like them, it doesn't work for the most part and in the only instance it does they don't let you spend time with the character because fuck the player. Crescent also has a "change arc" that is handled so inorganically that it's painful, her backstory is just extremely edgy by Rejuvenation's standards and almost makes it seem like Jan is trying to rip off Desolation to an extent.

I genuinely believe that Tesla offering to take you in was a way better plot point in v6-8 because it didnt get followed by 3 more "Check out your cool new room for this part of the story" segments and they had a lot less focus on Nancy to dilute it. I remember there being an imposter MC arc in GDC that apparently got removed completely, I remember the time before EXP gains were capped and you just had to deal with trauncy mid battle (I actually played a bit of Reborn at the time too, I shutter remembering the Shelly fight or whoever the bug leader was). For the worse, this game is a part of my fucking childhood and I hate that it's gone this far off the deep end in quality, even if it wasnt a masterpiece to begin with
btw I never even got far enough in reborn to see terra myself, so i dodged a fucking bullet

If they made Rejuvenation a non-Pokemon game shit like the protag getting pushed into lava or villains walking away would make even less sense since they'd be the fighters. Unless it's a non-Pokemon monster catcher.
Anyway imagine if when they finish Rejuvenation they make a sort of Rejuv Deltarune (still a Pokemon game because people would dip), basically a different setting or story using similar characters and themes to Rejuv, essentially a game that's to Rejuv what Deltarune is to Undertale.

I checked it, it's still there and sounds fine when played, the game itself is just not playing victory music at all now. I figured they turned it off for the tournament because of all the back to back battles but if that's not the case idk what exactly is happening behind the scenes.

Yep, been on it since before melia got captured at the start after having the game bug out from catching a prism golduck.
The only answer left I can see is maybe my music swapping messed it up? But it was still perfectly fine before the tournament and I didnt change any songs around that point so idk how that would cause it to permanently disable fanfare

You know fights are fun when you're forced to rely on heavy dosages of cheese to just have a fucking chance, had to Toxic stall this piss stain for several fucking minutes and hope that it didn't get crits every turn, which unsurprisingly wasn't easy, fuck this fight dude, you don't even get anything good from doing it too, oh no, Shadow Claw will surely break the fucking game and Chandelure is clearly so overpowered that it needs to be stuck behind a stupidly cancerous gauntlet for no good reason and they nerfed this fight too, several times and it's still complete and utter dogshit, even worse now because of the really forced crap with Nancy you have to sit there and watch a long cutscene each and every time too.

I tried it out and didn't get past the first gym because the AI literally just tripped over at the starting line and had it's head fall off with errors and skipped turns every turn. Before then it at least took pressing the same move four times in a row to break the AI
There was also a case where I walked into a cutscene that for whatever reason doesn't move the player to the side and lets your scripted movement walk you into your rival and never actually reach where the next flag gets triggered or whatever so you have to reset the entire game
Among some other somewhat nitpicky things, I really didn't get far enough into it to form an opinion beyond 'this is broken and unplayable'
Maybe with a new install it'd fix itself but I kind of doubt it

I feel like Kingdom Hearts is the most apt comparison. It's generally a well-made game by fangame standards especially with the length of it, but the story is incredibly high investment, and actually gets worse the more you know about it. Like the plot is genuinely headache inducing, and there's an infuriating feeling that Jan refuses to improve what he's good at (Like Sidequests, map design, and interactions with the PC) in favor of stealing the worst ideas form whatever RPG or anime is trending on twitter.

If you strip out the story the game play is alright, good even at some points. There is some silliness in terms of the distribution of individual pokemon or items, but overall you have plenty of team building options most of the time. Some of the fights are bullshit, but there is usually a path forward if you're willing to train up a ringer or two as necessary.
But man some of the characters and plot points are as bad. I dont think I get as heated as some of the general (though also some of the complaints here are boosted for laughs) but man it is just dumb and bad at times.

I've thought much of the same about Reborn, I like/don't dislike half of the writing and the other half is stuff to skip past on my way to the next battle. Though in the postgame the writing becomes far more apparent because I don't have to think about how to take things out with nothing but a Crustle, a Sceptile, and the skin of my teeth. In my run of Deso Rillaboom cleared pretty much everything, I think the only field grassy surge doesnt overwrite is the shadow/dark one

Okay, so I essentially hit a snag in the road and I don't know what to do, the only two Pokemon I can use before Connor are the beach starter and the real starter later, the problem is the game demands me to have a second Pokemon for the cave village and I don't have a single option available right now, nothing, quite literally nothing, the earliest wild encounter I can actually use is Wormadam and that's post Connor, not to mention Trashy Cloak is a pain in the ass to get, do I spawn in a Galarian Meowth just to get across this? It's not that strong anyway and it's a Pokemon I can get relatively early as well, I dunno man.
Probably stopping here since I have work in the morning.

yeah, connor getting humbled but not becoming a complete pushover is a good balance. Plus a bit later you start to see why he's that way, even if its no a complete excuse
plus I like that they explicitly acknowledge he's working with a fresh team and not just a weak gym leader
Desolation in general has a lot less plot holes and failures of logic, largely because its just a simpler and more focused plot

In case you're curious it was sandstorm (Tyranitar's Sand Stream) to strip the rainbow and then good ol' Lycanroc to get rid of the cave. While I could've (and probably should've) just kept the crystals to empower my dark pulses I'm going to savor the nice plain gold background while I can
Also Necrozma totally should've been a Rock type but he becomes Dragon so I'm using him either way

She nuked her own Swampert (whom I had no real answers for) while it was diving with a Palkia surf
Yakub got to use the rest of his wide guards and then absorb aggro with protect, and then just rock slided until that was out of PP too
Stealth Rocks did work and Terrakion swept like 7 or so with field-boosted +0 Rock Slides but that ran out of PP and he had to eat it against the final Salamence
