I had an enemy Lapras land 3 Sheer Colds in a row.

I never snap out of confusion, thaw from freezing or wake up. I rarely fight through infatuation. While they always seem to snap out turn 1.

I don't ignore the times I get lucky.
Literally, first Battle in the Tower, Bright Powder Crobat (unironically the same as Spenser's first Pokémon) lost to it because I could not land a hit.

Second try, got through about 2 battles, died to Lapras with Sheer Cold.

In the Battle Pike, almost every room seemed to be one of the status Pokémon, which almost always statused my entire team.

Battle Factory always seemed to give me opponents that countered my team exactly.
Plus they keep landing OHKO moves, while I always miss if it isn't 100% accurate.

The first battles are usually NFEs but there is always the chance of a fully evolved Pokémon, though usually with a much weaker move set.

It literally isn't. There's a set pool of Pokemon depending on your streak and whether you picked L50 or Open Level. Only battle 7 is where you can get Pokemon from the next set. Then eventually it's a random pool of the later sets. No way you're seeing Crobat4, the only one with Brightpowder, in your first set, retard.

One thing I've always found weird is why almost every battle facility (even non-frontier ones like the Subway, Tree or Maison) do battles in series of 7, why not 5 or 10?
