Special fighting is never a bad idea since types who are weak to it tend to have worse special defense, and it's somewhat of a niche compared to all the physical fighting types around.

For campaign teams? You get more power going Physical (Swords Dance + Close Combat) but better coverage going Special (Aura Sphere + Dark Pulse). I guess you could teach it Shadow Claw since you aren't getting Crunch by level up.

I ran a mostly special one in BW2 campaign (Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse, Flash Cannon, Earthquake) and it was pretty good at fucking up everything weak to fighting and dark

Shy of skarmory that difference is never making up for the difference in power/accuracy that puts both aura sphere and focus blast under close combat
If you need to hit a steel type with a fight move and they arent weak to fighting, aura sphere will fail your needs to hit the 1hko/2hko you need every single time

I never liked using Lucario at all.
