I don't need to point out, especially in the world of writing television and movie scripts how odd it would be that a writer would suddenly have such a reaction to such a minor detail as a monster getting a gender change, unless of course the creator had a vested interest in said monster being a somewhat avatar for them in the IP and God turning it male again made it too much for xer to handle alone. But I'm looking at the facts of reality and it's the only writer I know went off on one because their character was given a sex-change. Most do it to handle overwork, over success or severe underachievement.
