Personally I want to be rich so that I know I'm not forced to work and can quit any time I want, which isn't boring - it's simply a feeling of security. Once I'm rich I'm just gonna switch to a job I like that doesn't pay well rather than doing the one that sucks my soul out but pays enough to put some away every month.
