You don't really need to use one, but there should be more because of the fire E4 member. That said, I like the E4 to have thematic teams more than monotype, keep that shit to the gym leaders.

It's also one of the best pokemon in the game since it evolves pretty much immediately.

Shame it was cut from PLA. It's okay, we have Arcanine, Magmortar without needing to trade, and catchable Infernape now.

It has levitate and anything that can hit it with strong Fire-type attack will keep you away from slogfest that is trying to play stall game around it or fucking around with stuff like lol Gravity.

You don't, limited mon availability is actually kino, when you have a perfect solution to everything it's boring and there's no strategy. Already people are using TMs and coverage moves on other mons as mentioned in this thread, just from a lack of Fire type. You can also just pick the fire type at the very beginning or catch Ponyta or trade for any other fire type in existence if you have other systems/games.
