Letting everyone use the gimmick (gimmick itself was shit though)
Sandaconda, Hatterene, Toxtricity, Corviknight, Cramorant, the fossil (though the rest of the dex is either repulsive, bland, or forgettable by far the worst dex. )
The swimmer is cute
That’s honestly it, everything else about SwSh was garbage

The title is cool. People like swords, and shields go with swords. It plants a vivid image into your mind, an image of a good Pokemon game instead of the garbage we got.

These are probably my least favorite Pokémon games, but they did do a few things right:
> Gym battles are amazing in scope and spectacle compared to past games.
> Party-wide EXP Share works as a proper QoL feature due to being nerfed, instead of an easy mode like it was in gens 6/7. Too bad there's no toggle for it.

the stadium with cheering crowds during big battles was actually a nice touch, the idea of these big arena battles was something that was in the anime from the very beginning but no games had really captured that feeling as well before. the new Regis are pretty cool too. dynamax got pretty fucking old pretty quick but the generation introduced a lot of interesting doubles strategies with new items and abilities. Sonia has some pretty good off model porn too

I actually think object titles are bad because now the legendaries have a literal sword and shield, same with Gen 7, stuff like that. Imo Pokémon titles should be more abstract with the legendaries not being literally related to the words. Maybe they came up with the box legendaries first but I think they're really stupid
