Omanyte is a cute little guy who just happened to contest with the Original Gangster.
Aerodactyl is amazing, but the Mega ruined her style.
All in all, gen 1 is one of 3 gens with a very strong collection of fossils who are all great.
Gen 3 is the 2nd one of these, I usually went with the Claw Fossil since Anorith somewhat reminded me of Kabuto. An anomalocaris is just a great idea for a fossilmon. The real predator. Lileep is also great, I'm glad that you get both in Emerald.
I never really cared about gen 4's and 5's fossilmons.
Gen 6 is the 3rd gen with an amazing duo of fossils. The T-Rex seems like the obvious choice, but I really love both evolution lines.
All in all, I love fossilmons and I'm disappointed that they are things of the past (no pun intended) now.
If I was a Rock type gym leader or felt like playing Pokémon Showdown Monotype, I'd go with a team of 6 fossilmons. I just couldn't decide which ones of these 7 to cut.
