I once designed this flag for the Hoenn region, taking inspiration from the Japanese prefecture flags. The design is a stylized letter "H" for Hoenn. Theres also the obvious pokeball motif because pokemon. The yinyang thing i for the land water balance theme that the region has, and it kind of looks like the map of Hoenn. The colours are from Rayquaza, the main legendary of the region.

Unova should be something like this with Reshiram and Zekrom on the left and right and possibly a silhouette of Zekrom in the center or Victini.

Instead of the mountain a mix of White Forest and Black City (An old version of the city)

That would be accurate to real life but I'd hate it. Seal on blue flags are a pox. I don't really have a better idea though. Maybe something with a black and white taoist motif would work?

I was just thinking about the symbols of each region as in origin marks. Kalos has the blue pentagon/star, Alola the quatrefoil, etc.
