>>56232904Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is inside of GameFreak’s rainy day treasure chest. It is a series they only visit when they need the boost. Right now they’re riding a series-long high, it makes sense that it’s our longest break without one. Next time we get a shaky main series release, that’s when they’ll kick the dust off of it. Controversial but not a failure like SwSh will get us an Explorers remake, whereas a full blown flop with get us a new game.
>>56232947 Makes sense. The spinoffs have never about expanding the world, they’ve always been about tapping into excess sources of revenue, like drilling for oil. Go earns billions, with a B, and thus their search for a spinoff came to an end with it, Go is the backup Pokemon game / series. Now they can afford to have the rest of the spinoff catalog be passion projects, like their Moba, Gacha, or Detective Pikachu shit.
>>56232966>>56233042>he thinks people bought SnapI don’t get it. You zoomerfags were born with iPads plugged into your mom’s pussies and have literally never lived in a world where infinite information of all history *hasn’t* been constantly at your fingertips or in your pocket, yet you always choose to roleplay these things instead of googling. Snap was revolutionary because it was the first time Pokemon felt alive, and the graphics / animations were actually mindblowing back then before everyone was a faggot about polygons and textures. You all would have a field day seeing how people reacted to shit like Ocarina of Time, there were people who would throw up from playing because it was too realistic looking compared to SNES games. And nobody bought Snap, it was so popular because it was a staple Blockbuster rental title, which means we all played it on the weekend for a dollar. You know, that place your parents talk about when they mention how much more peaceful life was before you were born.
