But I'm glad to see people have been on 4chan frequently since after its prime. 2016 /pol/ and /vp/ was an experience of its own, didnt even want to go outside.

I used to frequent showderp the most. Nowadays I just look if there's an interesting thread going on every few days. Usually, there's not.
The worst part of all of this? It's been several years, and my life didn't go in any direction.

Same. Refurbished my 3DS and reopened my old Suh and Moon save recently. Barely got past the first trial.
I just like playing through fan games like Infinite Fusion and Inclement Emerald. I can't stand Pokemon without fast forward.

I've been here off/on since 2013
I liked to pop in during slow times and then through leak season, until the games came out I'd leave so the toxicity didn't ruin my experience. I'd pop back in to see the " now that the dust has settled" threads and then gone.
I gave up on pokemon completely after playing an hour into Sword, it was dead to me. Haven't bought or played a new game since.
My life crashed and burned and I lost everyone and fell into a deep depression so bad that I got back into Pokémon.

I used to tell myself as a kid I couldn't kill myself yet because I had to see what the new games and new pokemon would be like. I'm glad I found some other reason to live lol, but it's still a safe space to me.

I haven't played any games newer than BW1 and I probably never will. I come here sometimes for many years because it is the designated board for Pokemon. I'd often rather discuss other similar more hardcore retro RPGs, but /vrpg/ and /vr/ didn't exist and now that it does it's not very good. So I post about Pokemon here sometimes because at least it's active and the userbase has played the games they're discussing.
