CONSIDER:
>remove Flying Type
>replace with Wind Type (mostly exactly the same, but it's not immune to Ground)
>remove Levitate too
>now, whether or not something is immune to Ground is simply an innate quality certain Pokemon have. If it looks like a creature that can fly, then it's immune to Ground. This is called being Airborne.
>there's also the opposite quality, where some Pokemon are Attached to the ground. (Diglett, Cradily) These Pokemon can't be forced to switch out.
>Wind Type is not weak to Electric. Instead, if something is airborne, it's weak to Electric, if it's Attached to the ground, it resists Electric.
>Mons that used to have Levitate can all get regular abilities now.
>Some formerly Flying Types will not have the Wind Type (Mantine, Dodrio) and some will gain the Wind Type (Arcanine, Weezing)
I don't know why I typed all this, but do any of these random collections of words trigger cerebral activity in your brain?
