Do kids even have the patience to play Pokemon now? I feel giving us the old games again goes against their clear strategy to take all of the effort out modern Pokemon.

Kids get fucking angsty now if they don't get 15 shinies 10 minutes after eating a fucking sandwich so they can post about it on Reddit. It used to take days or weeks to MAYBE get 1.

And as soon as they see you have to level up Pokemon individually and you have to actually encounter a mon each time they'll turn up their nose.

Fair hacking has and always will be fine. However, the important part is that Home support would greatly narrow the power gap in the older games and allow casuals to finally enjoy both wifi battles and battle facilities with pokemon that don't have shit IVs. No more getting swept by sheer cold Walreins with max speed.

Home stores the moveset for each game the pokemon touches. It will forget its moves when it touches another game for the first time, but it will relearn the moveset when it comes back.

Even if old games do get Home support, things like hyper training and mints aren't going to translate there from newer games, especially now that Home keeps separate data for each game. At best it would just allow much faster leveling and EV training.

I also think something like this should happen.
Gamefreak is clearly not interested in remakes anymore, so this would be a good way to let themselves off the hook.
Of course, they would probably release the old games individually to make more money, but having them play like the image described would be good, and a great way for Home to have use.
