According to this page, FRLG had some additional content, that didn't make it to the final game. Here are some examples:
>There were some more routes planned for the Sevii Islands
>There's 3 identical unused house interiors, one of which is located on route 19, where Pikachu's beach minigame is in Pokémon Yallow
>There's data suggesting that Professor Oak was planned to battle you at some point
>There's data for wild double battles
>There's data of one chip tune (healing your Pokemon at the Pokemon Center) that suggests an item like GB Sounds could've been planned at some point
What do you guys think? Were these features cut due to time limitations, or for another reason?
