I can see SwSh selling no matter what, because first mainline new entries on the system, and LGPE because nostalgia bait and the only traditional pokemon games at the time.
But to see BDSP and SV sell so well, especially despite the latter's poor reviews and viral bugginess, it is truly disheartening. Things are never getting better. There's an outrageously huge install base of people that will buy just because Pokémon in the title and accept whatever they get, then turn around and say that they are the true fans.
It's over, bros. Yes OP it's a terrible take but it's the MAINSTREAM opinion, with every evidence.
The entire classic era (all 2d games) will be overwritten by Legendslop or LetsGo revisits.
