So I am currently playing FRLG, and I recently discovered that some more routes were planned for the Sevii Islands, but they were cut very late into development, most likely because they didn't have enough time to finish them. This made me sad.
So I spoke with a friend about this, and my friend basically told me that I shouldn't worry about it, because literally EVERY main series Pokemon game has this problem, and it's not exclusive to FRLG.
This made me think. So are virtually ALL Pokemon games basically unfinished? Do the devs never get to completely finish a game, because of time limitations? What about third versions like Emerald and Platinum? Arey even they unfinished due to time limitations?
What do you guys think? I hope someone who has more knowledge about game development can explain.
