I think the mod dev might have nerfed Hustle, I thought I was getting unlucky, but my Nidoran missing 16 attacks in a roll can't be normal, at least I hope not. Anyhow, I'm calling it a night, thoughts on the mod so far are pretty decent, nothing major yet and I'm kinda paranoid I might be missing a few encounters, but so far it does seem to improve upon the base game, even if just slightly enough to be notable.

I get the game isnt finished yet so there's time for this to change but Im a more than a little disappointed theres virtually nothing to find on your own without the main story or a side quest to guide you to it. The only HM that's actually opened anything in the overworld is Surf at badge 6, and there isnt a single new area unlocked by it as far as I've searched. You can literally count all the items it unlocks on 1 hand, granted two of them are Brine and Steel Wing TMs but after all this time that's all the water was hiding from me? You can argue that makes sense with this being a """Dream""", by technicallity nothing is meant to exist beyond what you actually see, but it's still disappointing all the same. Rejuvenation isnt any better with water yeah but it does at least have mutliple locations off the beaten path that you're never told to go to at any point with optional stuff like Evergreen Forest and Mirage Town.

The balance between the two experiences could be a lot better

There's no fucking way the AI isn't using some kind of cheat regarding damage and speed, Seviper isn't fast and neither is Croagunk yet they outspeed everything, Alolan Grimer for whatever reason is hitting harder than a fucking Zacian and tanking hits as well as a fucking Eternamax Eternatus, there is something seriously wrong with this fight and I can't fucking tell what it is, I have a suspicion they implemented a cheat on Venam's Seviper for it to get access to it's Crest even though it doesn't have it equipped as well.

That was painfully shit and required a lot of EV autism. I dunno if that A.Grimer had eviolite but it just refused to die, yeah I know in the video I kept clicking Bite on it, but that was mostly because I couldn't switch anything in and also to try and flich hax it for a bit, the opposing Pokemon only sleeping for a single turn and Hustle consistently fucking me over were just horrid, I don't know if I can say this is worse than v12 intense or a few earlier versions that also had very annoying teams but it was certainly fucking annoying, Venam abusing the extremely broken effect of the synthetic sneed while the player can't get one by this point is very fucking annoying as well, the fact they removed several Pokemon and items from this early in the game while still going out of their way to make some of these fights this stupid is just a sign of things to come I believe, I'll probably write a review a bit, don't think I'll continue past this point since this is an alpha and I imagine a lot of things are still subject to change, but I don't know if said change will be positive considering how shit things already are by the first chapter of the game.

Decided to run a bit ahead to see if much has changed, there's some new Shadows via the Xeniggers, but most importantly, this bastard is available this early, even came with a generous amount of
shekels , besides that, not much, the bridge cuck's fight is a bit easier when you reach the level 25 cap but it's still incredibly annoying and arbitrarily stupid, I thought for certain Melia would have been made harder, but nope, she's still pretty easy, I do find it interesting her Bunneary has Scrappy as an ability like Lopunny's Mega as well as it seemingly having a small attack boost, but only her's does, because it's not bad enough Lopunny got moved from the early game despite being a bad Pokemon.

Went to take a nap and came back to getting a bit more progress, Zetta got buffed a little bit, nothing too crazy, Rift Gyarados is still the same, surprisingly this mod made the Melia VS Madelis fight not as RNG reliant as it was in the past. Aside from what, very little has changed between there and Sheridan (so far), though I did stumble upon this.

Vengance just made it from average to good with it's major improvements like removing the retarded thing of the level difference being extremely important for damage calcs and adding more stuff to do in the overworld
