>>56268575I feel the same way and agree with you, but Kyogre/Groudon/Rayquaza were more like gods and intended to be part of the creation myth before Gen 4 went crazy with it and replaced them with even stronger gods that manipulate the fabrics of reality instead of worldly elements.
Dialogue at Mt. Pyre supports this if you ask the old people to tell you the story, iirc. It reads like there was no concept for Dialga/Palkia yet, and the origin story only went so far as the formation of the "earth", not the universe or reality itself.
