This was not a fun fight, but I still got a hearty laugh out of watching Keta struggle to deal with the sheer power of stall and I didn't even give my Eldegoss Effect Spore to make the AI have a taste of the status faggotry, I don't know how I'd rate this fight, v11 through v12 Keta on intense was a horrid fight, this is very similar to that and yet those versions at least had the decency of keeping EVs at a reasonable value by that point and the AI wasn't obviously input reading or had a very noticeable Serene Grace cheat (again, this might be my extremely bad luck, but I have my doubts about that).

This felt like a joke, it was pretty sloppy but I did it on the first attempt, I was dreading going into this fight considering how stupid the maids around the mansion are with their overloaded teams and then you have Marienette being weirdly pathetic, I'd say this is considerably easier than v13 and previous versions of intense as well, the fact her Decaltty is her ace and doesn't use the busted Crest it has feels odd, she doesn't even use Hisuian Zoroark during the fight either despite her Zorua being level 30.
Aside from that, it's really cool how
Revival Blessing works perfectly fine and doesn't have some bullshit caveat to it, granted the tranny devs did majorly fuck over Pawmot's availability because of that.
Also Poliwrath's signature move seems to have an unique animation depending on hat incense it's carrying, that's pretty kino.

Yeah, there was absolutely no hope of me actually beating this without losing anything, I could barely win with just Dusclops alive at the end. This is hardly even a psychic gym, I think the only pokemon he had use psychic moves were Oricorio and Alakazam (Because you just HAVE to give the Psychic gym leader M-Alakazam, you HAVE to), everyone else preferred to spam Dazzling Gleam because this entire gym is a ploy to murder anyone using dark types.
I managed to perfect the last two boss fights without baton or buff spams, I'm happy enough with those. Besides if I ever come back to this game when it updates Im likely starting over completely for the tracked perfects anyway and because of what

It can be a bit hard to follow at times because of how much it's trying to juggle, but it does a better job at it than some other games I've played so it's more a natural side effect than an outright failing. The characters as well are pretty good on average, while there's a couple I personally dislike I can genuinely see why others would like them, though I have a few things to say about some specific ones.
Scarlett, at the time of playing, I feel is very heavily underused and despite playing a big role early on could've been gutted with only minimal changes needing to be made. You don't spend nearly enough time with her before she switches sides, and it happens so fast that it feels like it was only done to create drama, and after if you manage to save her she still continues to hold 0 plot relevance. The few times she does get to speak up, it's to serve Connor's character and not her own save for 1 battle at the Cellia tournament, which is only if she doesn't die.
Keep in mind for the tier list, I have the rows ordered highest->lowest and I consider Reeve to be the most average quality character, anyone above him is at least good. And Cedric I actively avoided so cant rank him genuinely

He'll switch between finally acknowledging his not the greatest person alive, and acting like he's The Shit so often I question if the same person is writing for him throughout the game, and what he does in Blackview when trying to save Scarlett is just absolute scum behavior that I feel the game doesn't treat as enough. That should've been the point Ava chews him out hard enough that he drops his ego permanently and starts to really grow, but instead it's quickly forgotten and the game moves on.
Hardy is just, outright pointless. So much so it's hard for me to find much to say, he can be cut even moreso than Scarlett, all you lose is a couple largely unimportant battles that could've easily been used by either Scarlett pre-Black Fox or a generic Black Fox goon. Garret is really confusing because the game just seems to absolutely love him and pushes him and the player together for multiple segments, even forcing the player to act outright sad whenever he says they need to split like your his puppy and I just dont get it. I dont think he's "Bad" as a character, I just feel like I'm listening to someone ramble about how much they love slightly stale white bread whenever the focus is put on him. It's like the writers forgot it was Ava who promised to never leave the player's side and not Garret.

Finally, Baron... I'm screaming into the void when I say this but I must say it anyway. My issue with him is what I feel like they're wanting to lead up to which hasnt happened yet as of playing, so please, for the love of God, DO NOT MAKE ME SPARE HIM FOR THE GOOD ENDING. The game is heavily implying it wants him to be redeemed in the future with his connection to Garret and interaction after the prison break, but I don't sympathise him for a second. If we're talking about "Villains I love to hate", Baron is an A. If we're talking about "Villains who are misdirected people with good intentions"... he fucking pushed Ava into lava with a full smile on his face purely to prove a point, and then convinced Scarlett to throw away everything and everyone who cared for her so she could commit a cult suicide. Everything else you may say about him is completely irrelevant, he deserves to die and if I cant kill him and get a good ending everything great about this story will be thrown into jeopardy.
In spite of the harsh tone in the final character I still really enjoyed the writing of the game overall, and while I'm fearful it could all be for nothing when new episodes come out I am hopeful it won't be the case. Now though, I'm definitely taking a break to refresh myself. I've had my Pokemon fill for a bit, and I need to recover from Rejuvenation some more so I can stop mentally comparing everything to it. Might stick around in the threads for a couple more days but I'm not starting another game just yet, if not for a while

Garret is basically a favorite of the devs, which is why he shows up so often throughout Cellia, I personally agree and wished we had more time with Ava.
Don't worry, there's no fucking way Baron ends up being redeemable after what he pulled, it was just Garret recounting the guy's backstory, the game is not Rejuvenation tier retarded with trying to make you like absolute pieces of shit like that, it's made very clear Wandehall and Baron are complete scum, unlike Nova who had her excuse of being mindraped or Amelia, who's still very much evil but obviously has something going on with her if you read into the hints they give, plus she's your foxy yakuza rival (and she's very obviously into the MC), funny how despite not being meant to be the rival character, she does it far better than either Hardy, Scarlett or Connor.
