>>56301507Yankees are a type of school delinquent, they wear school uniforms, and one of their strongest characteristics is the pompadour and/or dyeing their hair, hence the nickname (They are a Japanese misinterpretation of American culture) they are commonly involved in fights between schools.
Bozosoku are very eccentric bikers (their bikes are exaggeratedly adapted) there may be students, but it is more common to be made up of those who dropped out of school or are outcasts of society, they wear exaggerated versions of the school uniform or outfits that identify them as part of a gang with long cut jackets.
Both subgenres had their peak during the 70s-80s and it was a common way to rebel against the rigid Japanese culture, now they only survive with people who like this as a hobby and in the media, especially if it is a period job.
Gals/Gyaru (Gal is the written form and Gyaru the Japanese pronunciation) are also a Japanese interpretation of Western fashion, they had their peak during the 90s, although to a Westerner they only seem like superfluous girls, for Japanese society they are considered a bad influence because they are associated with promiscuity and compensated dating (a type of youth prostitution). The difference between Gal and Galko is that the first is a general term and the second is a school-aged Gal.
There may be a combination of both or even all three. PR is a Bosozoku Gal with Yankee hair
