Would in all honesty only happen in edgyverse. Most likely something happening to Mari and/or Arai. She'd go scorched earth Herrscher grindset. Cult forms around her that she ignores at first but eventually she fully embraces and utilizes it. Cause frankly people have formed cults around dumber and crazier things than a small girl ushering in a veritable apocalypse. The coat without a doubt would be from Mari but if there was anything Emily keeps of Arai if something ever happened to her, it'd be her mechanical arms. She knows Arai kept an automated system for when she first removed her own organic arms for the new mechanical ones. Emily would go into Arai's lab and have her organic arms removed and replaced with Arai's mechanical ones. Mari's "wind" at her back, a piece of Arai made a piece of herself. And she'd burn and flatten the world for taking the only two things that kept her remotely fighting for humanity's well being away from her. Again, this would only be in edgyverse though.

If David was a bad guy, I feel he would be like Lisandre, but rather than go "millions must die", he would say "the world belongs to the Pokémon".
He would be a Giovanni villain, using humans as resources, be money or man power. Then, buy private land to create a giant Pokémon Sanctuary.

He would make this out of vengeance. After his team is murdered, in one last act of friendship, they give David their powers. This had made him more powerful and capable of using some Pokémon moves. But this has set his mind that humans are scum, and Pokémon were the only true innocent thing Arceus has created.
His plan is to make this sanctuary where all Pokémon live free, but also reeducating them to make them take over the world. Over time, those Pokémon can activate moves and evolutions that required human companionship, by themselves!
Finally, pull a Planet of the Apes attack where humans would be steamrolled by Pokémon. He is aware he is a name on that list as well, but he only replies "if is my destiny, then I shall accept it. After all: only a human can be capable of such cruelty".

I imagine his persona would be like Damon Gant: jovial, eccentric, and even friendly. But is all a facade. He is only smiling because he has transcended the emotion of Anger, and he can do nothing only but laugh.

I think if Alex had never joined Team Plasma he would probably have ended up as just some generic evil CEO. His experience with them showed him that megalomania doesn't work out and if he didn't have that experience then he wouldn't have learned to keep himself in check. Maybe he becomes one of those guys that has to push back against environmental groups or maybe he just becomes Patrick Bateman.

I love the discussions about this so far.
At first I thought Wolke is too much a wide-eyed idealist to be a villain, but it's all a matter of perspective. Being young and naive, she would be very susceptible to falling on the wrong side of her ideals. It's actually something I wanna explore in her story. Just because you think you're doing the right thing doesn't mean it's good.
Alternatively, if Wolke had never met Shuppet she would have likely grown into a detached and spiteful person. I imagine this version of Wolke would have an Alolan Ninetales as her ace. I can easily see her joining the Aether Foundation in that timeline. While original Wolke wants to make people smile and support those in grieving, this other Wolke would think that emotions are the root of all problems and she would strive for a world where nobody had feelings.

desu aren't humans in Pokemon way more durable than IRL like how DC/Marvel does it? We have seen humans displaying psychic powers and going toe to toe with various fighting type pokemon, or doing trainings similar to pokemon plenty of times, even if the pokemon held back you can notice across official media these details, never mind the theory that humans are just other kind of Pokemon.

I would lean heavier into the negative stereotypes about gyaru.

I'd imagine Slice of Life. True, David has moments that were inspiring or amazing, but his story mainly focuses on a guy who lives day to day, trying to improve himself, and learning about the world around him.
His trip starts in Hoenn, learning about the world and the people in it. In Kanto, he learns the world is bigger, and maybe his knowledge is not as useful as he thought. In Johto he learns about peace, meditation, and when to shut up sorry Clair. In Sinnoh he learns about history, the roots of men and Pokémon, and increase his connection with the land in a trip to the top of Mt Coronet
Unova is supposed to be an amazing experience, "ruined" by a bad ending. I'll probably put him in a bad spot, and he manages to get away, but the moment he leaves the train he thinks "I fought all night to get back to this hole?", and traveling again. Kalos is when he matures and seeks a companion, and even close the Unova saga by tricking the bad guy they would meet in a tournament again, they fight, and takes a dive. The guy takes the trophy, but David takes a check by betting AGAINST himself. Alola is when he asks himself what is the worth of a man, and what's better: a 30 minute fuck, or a lifetime of uncertainty with the one you love? Is true it may not work, but is better to love and lose than never loved.
Galar would be his personal perspective: he trains a kid for the league, and realizes his time may be coming to an end, but his experience is invaluable. In Paldea he becomes a tutor, teaching his legacy and findings. And in Gen 10 he doesn't even appears until the end. At that point is the passing of the mantle to a new trainer, and his retirement for good.

I can definitely say that comparing this story to when you first started is almost impossible. You've really hit your stride as a writer!
Action, believe it or not. I don't think you were around when I first mentioned it, but I never wrote a true action scene before /tog/. Scenes that had action sure, but never as the main draw. I'm in my element writing small stakes character-driven stories (we'll see if that still rings true once this is all over), so Eons in Flux has been a tremendous step in a new direction for me.

I never understood the concept of Joys and Jennys. Are all women in those professions forced to become the same caricature like the "Christian Personality" of Mormons? I'm starting to think that Ivy is actually right about the Nurse Joys, that shit honestly isn't normal. Bump. I am procrastinating again cause while I was writing the action scene, the music I originally planned for it that I was listening to as I wrote just wasn't matching with the mental image I was visualizing. So now I am back to digging for action scene music again.

i don't really think bibi's got it in her to be evil, but i can see her becoming the worst version of herself if she never got mauled by sada's koraidon or had to basically grovel in the dirt and beg for help vs terapagos. without anything to shatter her self-perception she never finds the impetus to change, her hero complex never gets challenged, and funnily enough, it's what makes her kind of an asshole. to see herself as a hero, consequently there must be protectorates, which is a very patronizing way to treat other people, and what distances her from her friends, who she struggles to treat as equals because of her massive ego. and she commits the worst sin of all: being really fucking annoying. since the only thing she ends up valuing is victory she never gets over her habit of handing out unsolicited lectures on how people don't pick the right moves, compose the right teams, etc. and failure to grow more tactful leads to more intense social isolation. she starts treating the cheers of the crowd when she wins as a substitute for any sort of substantial relationship.

Alright, here it is: you have to pretend you are "mediocre", or people will ask you to do more for a lower pay rate. I had a friend who's grandfather worked in a steel mill. Poor guy broke his back moving resources, fixing stuff, working near dangerous chemicals.
Anyway, to save himself some problems he invented a mobile table. Very resistant and can handle a lot of weight. Did he ever tell anybody? Nope. He knew what he had was gold, but he also knew those guys would increase the quota WITHOUT raising wages, so he kept it to himself. That saved him lots of backpain and health issues.

So, yeah. Be "mediocre", because they surely aren't paying you what you deserve if you work better. You can work fast? Good, but don't do more than you should. Otherwise they will ask you to do more until you are basically a slave on a payroll.

One thing I did is listen to "the dexlogs" youtube channel. He does top 10 lists of pokemon cards. (His duellogs videos are what originally got me into yugi-oh) Because in order to explain why a card is really good or really bad he'll often explain the meta around the card and overtime you'll just sort of pick up on the game. Moreso than just flatly looking up the rules will.

In essence, this whole thing is just a fun answer as to why paradoxes will show up in later generations where they shouldn't be.
How did acryptid belonging to an extremely limited population introduced into a lost world quarantined by the government end up being post-game content for a future game taking place in another hemisphere? Franco did it.

This way, he defeats Phos by making the Paradoxes impossible for her to contain and he defeats Franco by destroying his monopoly on the Paradoxes. This is really interesting to me, because I have a similar concept for a campaign where Luke is like the players' mission contact as he had been assigned to go to Paldea and keep people out of the crater. He would have been highly recommended by Gardenia or something and Geeta would have just snatched him up and put him to work fixing Paldea's ranger deficiency. If I went with this I'd make it to where he dies early-on to add more stakes for the people in my group who knows who he is.

Went the Ultra Space route instead pretty happy with it so far.

That was an old ass storyline that I've long since scrapped because I find OC regions too difficult to do. The whole "Graxam" concept was actually reworked into an alternate version of Orre based on Far Cry games and some aspects of Cuba because I consider XD's Orre to be in a future post-apocalypse. Tried out a new brush, which involved a different approach to how I usually do things (running around as a blind headless chicken as opposed to running around as a headless chicken), an this is moreso a (3 day) sketch than a formal work, so a lot less care was put into it in some aspects.

Could it be that male fashion is boring to you because you're attracted to women instead? Men are uniquely advantaged in that we can wear anything for any occasion at any time and still have a way to make it work.
If he's doing gardening work, he doesn't want to wear a nice white button-up that's going to get covered in dirt. Consider pic rel, who rolls around in the dirt and wears a white button-up but covers the sleeves to keep them clean.
Scarves, in a similar vein, look best when they can be tucked into a jacket or chore coat. But you know what else would work? Sky Shaymin's red bandana/ascot.
If he's an outdoorsy type, you want to give him a brighter, more outgoing color pallet. Try swapping out the dark jeans for light khakis. Or cargo shorts with lots and lots and lots of pockets.
As it is right now without any major overhauls, consider giving that vest an inverted floral pattern like a hawaiian shirt to give some detail to that blank space.

It's a matter of effort; the last great male fashion trend in the West was intentionally fucking up good clothing to match the skater chic. Now in the modern zeitgeist, beauty shames the ugly. I've been to places like Des Moines where sickly-pale people with bad posture and worse dye jobs shuffle around town wearing PJs and flipflops because "it's comfy." It's lazy, they can't even bend their knees while they walk. The big hairdos and shoulder pad suits you see in 80s fashion mags might not be to taste, but damn if it didn't take effort to pull off.
Twenty years of demoralization has made it hard to remember that people used to do cool, vibrant things just to do them in cool, vibrant ways. A lot of people don't have vibrancy in their life anymore and then we wonder why so many millions are despondent flavor-of-the-month junkies.

I find both attractive, but I certainly prefer drawing women. IDK to me it seems like guys are more limited in wardrobe choices. Go to a wedding and you'll see women in all kinds of beautiful outfits, and then there's the men in slacks and a button-up shirt.
I should go with something more outdoorsy for sure. Since he comes from a rich family I had this kinda snobby image in my head. I just went with what I personally like, combined it with the more flamboyant official Pokémon character designs, and then toned it way down (picrel was the original design, feel free to laugh).

character design is only boring if you let it be. honestly i do think that pokemon (well, most childrens/hobby animereally) accommodates flamboyant and out there character designs so i would tell you not to hold yourself back in that regard. men's fashion does have more limits in comparison to women's fashion in some aspects, such as what body parts can be exposed or accessories can be used without being labeled fruity, and lack of access to the variety of bottoms women sorta limit what you can do with a silhouette, but i mean hey, araki got away with dressing his cast effeminately and he got featured in the louvre, your first priority really should be making an outfit that suits the character+your tastes.

what you have now is sort of giving cowboy chic with the unbuttoned vest and scarf, i like the reference to meowstic via hairclips but if you wanted to turn that into something else you have the option of a hairband, a thin one that is more for function (pulling back his hair/bangs when he's gardening) vs form, if you're going to adjust the colors to fit shaymin more i recommend adding some earthy tones as i think they'd work well with the vibrancy of the red/green. if you're truly so worried about being "too gay" instead of a floral pattern covering a larger swath of fabric you can get away with adding a few embroidered somewhere on his vest/shirt......i'd pitch more design ideas but i feel like i'm overstepping as is. good luck with getting it just right anon!

I dislike pear hips and thick thighs, I find them distasteful, this is mostly just a Circe thing. But I also think it's kind of fitting because of her "hag" design. Thanks! I was gonna do a full character sheet of him today but I'm glad I posted here first and got feedback. He turned out a lot better now.

If I can come up with a proper personality and role in the story I might make a shota at some point and just go all out on cute accessories. Shotas are allowed to look fruity.

Interesting to figure out how I want to draw Lombre. I prefer the beak over the underbite the 3D model brought.
Ottawa likes to collect and hoard cool stuff he finds in his rain dish. Shiny screws/bolts, lost rings/jewelry, cell phones, and whatever else all nestled up there in some pond algae.
I think it would be cool to figure out the best way to depict all that in a picture, but might end up too much trouble.

The joke is about a medium being possesed by one of his ancestors seeking his blade to recover his lost honor. The second idea was a shitpost
I know is basically giving Shaun attention, but with so many hog posts, the idea of a man wearing a Piloswine's head to scare people off sounds fun. The joke is that under that hide is a strong, beautiful indian man. He only uses that to scare predators from his farm, and he raises a lot of pig mons because their noses are very well developed, so he can find useful berries and roots to aid his village.
