XY were fun, they had cool things and some neat monsters, and in 2013 or so? those were neat experiences. by this point i'd been playing since the later end of gen 2/early gen 3, and i'd become a big fan of the series, so i enjoyed watching it evolve, regardless of the poor execution during the 3ds hardware jump.
it wasn't until i saw swsh that my faith was broken. let's go i wrote off as what it was; a spinoff for the go crowd+kids of gen1 players, and for that audience? totally fine. i'm not in that group so i didn't play it.
gen 6 has its flaws, especially in ORAS, christ, but it's not some affront to god.

i do miss 90s baseball-girl whitney though. her new design is good, yes, but the 90s baseball uniform brings me a lot of nostalgia, since my dad was a coach back then.
