They could make a very simple..."child game" and make a basic story about fighting for da freeeeydom of da friendshippinoooooo.
But Gamefreak never demonizes N and Team plasma, so much that even a gym leader states that he won't side with the majority just because they say Team plasma is baddino. They even state at the very start of the game, with the professor saying that you will encounter people with divergent ideas.
Gamefreak in fact, only demonizes pokéballs, from gen 5 onwards (they did and do it repeatedly), when they could simply state pokéballs are comfortable and pokemon are happyno dogs to be fucked up by humans, they instead decide to demonize them and canonized the 90s lore of pokeballs using strong tranquillizers (the same one that said primeape died out of being drugged in a lab).
I only see maturity in this...a game made by elders. Clearly, it is not for you.
