First you need a Tin Pet: this is the skeleton, and it comes in both male and female Tin Pets.
Then you need Meda-parts: basically robot parts. These are divided into Head, Left/Right Arm, and Legs. Depending on the legs, they will have a better advantage in different terrains, and the other parts are used for combat, be hand to hand, to bullets and missiles.
Finally, you need a Medal: this small yellow hexagonal thing is the "soul" of the Medabot. It gives him the ability to move, and even show intelligence.
These are the essential parts of a Medabot. I recommend playing the RPG game for the GBA. You can pick Metabee or Rokusho version. Is the best game to get an idea about the mechanics.
