what I'm trying to say is, there is a side of hollywood and california in general that 4chan thinks about, which is degenerates, jews, leftism gone wild etc. but then there is the sunny, idyllic side of california that normies picture. and if pokemon were ever set in california, it would obviously be the latter. some people here just can't separate the image of california from its dark side.
