In other words, you're the real deal!). Honmono literally means "real thing", which Game Freak felt fit to translate as "truth". But in English, we would likely say the real deal, the genuine article, legit, etc. But when you think about it, real deal is slang, it's an idiom probably from a hundred years ago. While we still use the word deal in its original sense, our slang using it (real deal, big deal, deal with it, etc.) is pretty unnatural to a native Japanese speaker. And a word like genuine is too complicated for Japanese kids compared to real, but while real (リアル) is used pretty frequently in Japanese, it's an adjective and honmono/truth are nouns and they'd want to keep it consistent. It's like how English speakers may initially struggle with expressing something being popular in Japanese, because Japanese doesn't use popular (ninki) as an adjective, but as a noun. So you have to say "ninki ga aru" (has popularity).
Also you can see that Game Freak's English isn't quite perfect.
