There was some weird belief that pack Fresh meant PSA 10 or BGS Black Label.
Which isn't the case, pack Fresh can be as low as a 7 (Near Mint). Whitening, Centering, Surface, corners, edges, print lines, hickies, etc are a bitch.
People were essentially paying inflated rates due to the possibility of a gamble on a PSA 10 top chase.
When in reality they were getting like $10 worth of cards.
Most of these packs are likely searched and resealed with a heat gun so you could never tell the difference.
The good pulls that look like 10 quality probably replaced with another NM copy they bought off TCG player or eBay that has shit centering.
None the wiser, no proof, you still get a chase card Holo.
Ppl acting like CT scanning ruined the market, this shit has existed forever and is way worse then CT scanning.
