Fairy is just another type. Who cares if it turned Hydreigon into a cuckold? No typing should have preferential treatment over the other and Moonblast having 95 BP while Thunderbolt and Ice Beam were nerfed to 90 BP is an egregious case of this shit.
Also Dragonfags need to realize that Dragon type Pokemon usually have coverage moves (Poison and/or Steel) to deal with the fae and that it's not the end of the world. Even then Poison and Steel type moves are not always needed since dual typings exist which can add additional weaknesses like Diancie becoming weak to Ground, Grass, and Water on top of Steel (with the latter being a 4× weakness) or Azumarill being weak to Grass (always used with Huge Power) and Electric on top of Poison.
Problem is that Fairy just happened to be a little TOO good especially with Flutter Mane and gen 8 Zacian while it took up until gen 9 for there to be a successful bulky Rock type Pokemon with Garganacl (even then Game Freak fucked over Aerodactyl, Archeops, and Lycanroc) and that's only because of Salt Cure and Purifying Salt.
Shit's fucking unfair.
