This is the moment the franchise started going downhill, at least with Pokemon X and Y it was a "beta test" of sorts for this game, here Game Freak had no excuses and they blew it multiple times.

the region is funner to explore, the frontier offers way more variety in gameplay than the tree, events are 1000x cooler than holes for random legendaries, less handholdy, story is better, puzzles are better, contests are way cooler than gay petting minigames, dungeons are better, the glitches are kino, the pokedex doesn't flirt with me like rotom
