>>56358615Looking at low tier smogon (cause there's no chance in hell, it's ever even niche in vgc), ever since it got lightning rod (the horn ability) it's always used that over swift swim (the fin ability). Swift swim Seaking might in fact be a better mon 1v1, but if you're ever using Seaking over any of the plethora of other swift swim water types in the low tiers, its going to be because of lightning rod. Maybe if you made tiers go down so far that it was the only swift swim user, it might be used over lightning rod, but Seaking's horn better utilizes what makes it stand out than its fins.
