There are a grand total of 3 fossils in the whole game, 4 if you count the fossil Lance revived to be his Aerodactyl. Those fossils are worth an inane amount of money that Team Rocket could sell it for.

They wanted to wreak havoc under the assumption Giovanni would return if he saw how successful they were and still sticking to their goals of taking over the region. They just used overt force instead of trying to forcibly take control via a tech corporation behind the scenes like in gen 1. They went from being yakuza in gen 1 to straight up terrorists.

Literally, actually, yes.
The entire point of Team Rocket is that they're a bunch of headless chickens desperately trying to recapture their glory days because they refuse to accept that Giovanni rightfully bowed out as gracefully as possible due to how utterly fucking shameful his performance was that a literal 11 year old child who was just trying to reach the Pokemon League wound up dismantling his entire operation solely because of coincidental alignments and roadblocks.

They're bland and forgettable. Not that the Gen 4 Executives are much more memorable, mind you (Petrel gets a pass though), but they at least have new character designs that make them stand out compared to the old ones

It's pretty funny how they probably meant to imply Ariana and Silver are mother and son by giving her almost the exact same hair as Silver but ended up never expanding on that nor confirming whether they're related or not
