What's your least favorite thing about your most liked generation?

For me it's the overall downgrade in overall quality from Gen 5-6.

Yes, we know it spins while attacking. I think the sprite is trying to portray it preparing for, or being mid attack, same with Hitmonlee, it kicks to attack and I'm certain that sprite is showing it mid attack.
Mewtwo looks good in both anyway.
Yeah but it looks ridiculous just floating there at all times. At least it stops outside battle.

The guy behind the 3D models is Purrloin's creator Takao Unno, and the design is blatantly designed to have the fur patterns resemble clothes(which is only clearly visible when it is on 2 legs).

Its very first TCG card has it standing up, and that thing was out only 3 months after the game was released.

They really didn't futureproof their online stuff in Gen 5. When you wanna collect certain items or Pokemon there's only really one method for them and if they aren't in the overworld it's usually online/local restricted. Granted this extends to the rest of the franchise in general but I think here it's debatably the worst.

They literally tried to reboot the series, cutting off every Pokémon from previous generations, it has nothing in common with 1-4 besides the sprite work, which is tacky as fuck and tried to be 3D so hard yet failed. It's got more in common with the rest of nu-Pokémon than it does with classic Pokémon.

Removed any sort of connection it had with previous generations, up until then there were always Pokémon from the earlier gens to chose from, gen v was the first to say none of that and make its own roster.
