Anyone collect these? Actually, it surprised me fidnign out that US gen 3 era merch didn't last as long and had a different aesthetic to the European/Arabian stuff where the latter had these sleek y2k fonts like pic related and cyber patterns and lasted until like 2008.
I collected almost all of them. No idea where they are now. I assume parents put them into the trash years ago.

If it weren't for it I would have hated going on long flights and car rides during summer vacation. I don't know if it's my nostalgia goggles but I think the handheld franchise peaked in quality at FR/LG and went downhill from there, slowly to DPPT then massively after that

A kid told me that you could fish a hurt Mew in Cherrygrove lake and instead of initiating a battle you would pull it out of the water in the overworld and it would be laying on the ground almost fainted.
Then some Pokemon would attack it and you'd have to defend it. If you succeed, Mew would join your party.
This was back during Gen2 times, not HGSS. Sadly I forgot the requirements but I think it included having a certain number of Pokemon at level 100.

For me it was Buried Alive. I was scared shitless of encountering him even in hgss. Man, being a kid in the 2000s was pretty based - the internet was full of rumors and creepypasta, some of which had already been experienced by the 90s kids, but we had no way of knowing that...
