Its funny because back when it was revealed i thought it was interesting concept but further trailers made me worried that it will be just "Wild Area: the game" so i was rather skeptical, negative even. But when it finally released....i couldnt stop playing it. I've spent so much time just running around, sneaking on mons or simply discovering the lands of Hisui and guessing what part of Sinnoh this or that part becomes in the future...It was also the first time when completing the Pokedex was so fun AND rewarding.

I hope Legends ZA as much fun at the very least (hoping its actually even better)

Just got done with a third playthrough. Rank 10'd every Mon in the dex too.
Good shit, few moments in the series get me quite as hyped as the battle against Volo.

Except that wasn't popping up because you have to do it, its showing you progression towards that milestone, dumb-dumb. Dex completion is as simple as catching 1 of every Mon as it has always been, Rank 10 is just for autists (like me).

I pretty much shiny hunt in most everything from Gen 6 and up, so yeah I still boot it up occasionally for some brain-free hunting.

Nah, L: A's pokédex was the best filter ever.
God forbid a setting where creatures are studied for the first time by science actually expected manchildren to study the creatures in-game to fill their pokédex.

The other day, I finished the game for the first time. It was good but I'm sad that there was no real resolution for the player character and Ingo. The best part of the game, for me, was that I could collect every 'mon without trading.
the only quests I didn't do were the Paths of Solitude, though I did level 10 every pokedex entry and make a living dex that I then transferred to HOME.

How do Pokemon that normally evolve by trade evolve in PLA?

I played through it recently, actually it got me back into Pokemon, I became disinterested after SM and didn't think I'd like any of the switch games. but I tried PLA on a whim and had a blast.
I still have more to do, I only beat the main story up to the credits, I really want to go back and finish the dex for Arceus. it's just, playing it kind of reignited my interest in Pokemon and I started playing other games in the series and got distracted.
LZA might be the first Pokemon game I buy on release since SM, if it looks just as good.

Same, LA legit brought me back into Pokemon. Didn’t think a Gen 8 game would make my top 3 fav games in the series but here it is. I caught over 3 whole boxes of Shinies from that game.

Either just using an item like >>56378503 said, or in a lot of cases you can find them in the wild. You can still trade with others to evolve them though. I've seen people online not know that trading is even in LA, which is a shame since it has a sick animation:
