>>56382007Alright here we fucking go.
-Stage 1 feels really bland (and also somehow overdeveloped proportionwise), which is weird since a magical girl mascot seems like an obvious cutesy thing to hit with modern Pokemon design.
-Stage 2 has zero energy and also feels off proportionally even considering Braxien as its closest analog. It's also doing little to sell the magical girl quality outside of the jewel on the bow (why isn't it like, an iridescent bubble or something at this point?), and if it weren't for the fact that the pattern and ears make me think of Chadzumarill I'd just think it was a rabbit OC.
-Incidentally, being vaguely reminiscent of Azumarill is the only reason this feels like a water starter. Like yeah sure its cliche to just say "throw an element on an animal" but like, you could just color this brown and I'd believe it was a fucked up Bunnelby variant.
You could have tried doing stuff like outlandish pre-cure hair styles a combination of the ears and tactical tufts (hell, they could be curled into balls like odango), or give it goofy proportions like half the DoReMi characters, and then just had the first stage be borderline Cinnamoroll or some shit. Hell, the jewel that shows up on stage 2 COULD have just been a jewel stage 1 totes around as transformation token that becomes more prominent as it evolves. You could even throw it say, "wonderland" into the mix and have stage 1 be panicky as a white rabbit, stage 2 be a magical Alice adjusting to things, and then have stage 3 either "go mad" from its secondary type or just get fancier to cover both "normal" magical girls and muh heckin Madooka edgyshit.
Like I know this sounds pretentious from a literal who on /vp/, but I genuinely don't think you applied yourself beyond thinking "magical girl rabbit" and making this thread.
