>>56382792Congratulations on finally defeating Articuno OP! Good luck with the rest of the game. You'll be dealing with some more crazy things that opponent Pokémon can do and more new game mechanics later in the game. Especially in the post-game which I highly recommend you do.
The post-game has VERY difficult dungeons but it also gets you access to more game mechanics to use yourself, more Pokémon and more story. Doing the post-game is also required for getting every Pokémon and Mythical Pokémon.
Here's some advice:
Use Gummis to increase a Pokémon's IQ which gives access to more IQ skills, the later ones are very helpful and some work differently for the player Pokémon than a teammate Pokémon.
As you said:
I'll never under-value status effects again.
There's lots a strange and broken mechanics. Be sure to try stuff out and keep Items as they could be useful later.
Linking Moves can make some great combos and gives more EXP.
The regular attack can be useful, it's not as strong and gets you less EXP but it takes no PP which can be useful when you are high-levelled and in some post-game Dungeons.
Lastly, Wonder Mail passwords. You may want to look into these. On the title screen you can type in a Wonder Mail code to be rescued if you fail a dungeon in which case you can continue where you left off, or you can use it get a new Job to do in game. You could use them the intended way, or you could just use one of the Wonder Mail password generators online to rescue yourself whenever you want and get basically any Item you want easily. So if you're ever desperate or don't care about exploiting the system, those generators will make things much easier.
