Negatory, Typhlosion is a downgrade, Samurott is a sidegrade and Decidueye is a big upgrade.

The main team gave H. typhlosion Frisk out of spite because they were upset that the PLA team picked Cyndaquil instead of CHARmander. Thats why it’s the only Hisuian starter not allowed to get a broken ability.

Idk, H. Decidueye has a different theme, already had double typing too. Feels like H. Decidueye has more sidegrade energy, while H. Samurott is literally just Samurott but cooler, stronger and less fat. The community polls I've seen seems to reflect this too.

I'm willing to be that if Game Freak were to ever let the "fans" make changes to Pokemon (they'd never) that the "fans" would only go for Pokemon like Flygon making it Bug/Dragon (lmao) and not actually make any changes to the Pokemon that actually need help like Meganium or any Rock type Pokemon that isn't approved by the community because "no, not like that".
