who the fuck thought it was a good idea to make this shit so hard?

I'm a casual player and never had any trouble with any of the Pokemon games I played (RBY, GSC, RSE, FRLG, DPPt, HGSS, I beat them all easily) I was recommended Clover by /vp/ because it is apparently the best fan game out there that isn't a difficultyhack like Reddit Red and the like, but this ROM hack made me lose to Brock seven (7!) times before RNG took pity on me and gave me a couple of crits, meanwhile all my opponents seem to land critical hits AT LEAST 40% of the time

is this just ragebait? it's a troll game, right? It's made by 4chan so I assumed this was intentional to piss people off

ALSO FUCK THE LEVEL CAP BULLSHIT IF YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE EVERY TRAINER YOU FACE A PAIN IN THE ASS THAT WIPES HALF YOUR TEAM THEN LET PEOPLE AT LEAST GRIND A BIT
