Because Unova had plenty of postgame which made up for the removal of the Frontier. In comparison, games after had nothing to make up for it.

Because they figured having two facilities was enough. Casuals loved the Poke World Tournament anyway.

What we should be asking is why Game Freak cut out facilities entirely when optimized pokemon are easier to crank out than ever. Where is the PvE content? Raids are boring.

Neither is having a proper pace for the first three gyms of the game only for the game to turn into a gym rush because "oops we ran out of development time prease undastand it's oua first fully 3d gameu"

But I said the mystery game (which should be fucking obvious to anyone with half a braincell, not that you'd know what a braincell even is, yawnie downie) was fully 3D, and you just said B2W2 is not 3D (unless when the narrative shifts then it's suddenly le 3D because i said so), so therefore, you agree with me about XY being a poorly paced gym rush after all. It's a good thing B2W2 isn't a poorly paced gym rush, unlike XY, which absolutely is that.
But don't fret Yawnie Downie! Maybe you can convince someone in your special ed school that XY are actually the peak of the series! They'll eventually find out that you're completely and utterly wrong, but at least you'll have that false sense of hope to keep you going until you inevitably die when Unova remakes get announced and they're actually good!

BW2 is 15 routes split over 8 gyms
XY is 22 routes split over 8 gyms

So BW2 is actually more of a poorly paced gym rush than XY. Very interesting.

Also this discussion made me realize BW2 actually only has 22 routes total like XY, not 23 like I previously thought, because they deleted Route 10 from the game. That’s pretty funny.

And before you say otherwise, completionist refers to completing the Pokédex, obviously it'll take longer to complete a game with 721 monsters compared to 649.

Yes, just like BOTW’s postgame is bad, and SM64’s postgame is bad, and Super Metroid’s postgame is bad, and Elden Ring’s postgame is bad, and FFVII’s postgame is bad. I’m glad the game was gracious enough to not pointlessly lock a bunch of content to after the credits.
