my hot take is that Red/Green have the superior Mew and Mewtwo sprites, though. Fetus Cat Mew is superior, making it cute and cuddly was a mistake, and i *like* cutemons. Mew should be a horrific fetus cat; it's the progenitor of all pokemon.
also, if your criticism of Red/Green sprites is "they don't look like official art" , that's because the sprites for Red and Green predate official art.
