4 gyms in and it feels like unfocused slop compared to gen 1. Not a fan of all the real-time/berries type of shit and the puzzles like in the ruins have been lame garbage. No gritty locations like Lavender Town or the Pokemon Mansion. The colors and sprites look childish compared to the austere monochrome monsters of gen 1. More HMs and "HMs" they made TMs for some reason (Headbutt, Rock Smash) clogging up my party.

Is gen 3 a return to form or should I just drop this shit and go back to my Trails marathon?
