>>56400615Exactly, my idea is that, they wanted to make her have a prominent role in dp (as she has, and just like the other 3 champs before her), having an archaeologist meet you on a irony island where team galactic is running rampant doesn't seems like too much a stretch, but since dp were rushed and the lucario movie came before the game, MAYBE, that role was given to the movie guy and she ended up doing plenty of other things but not that one, and eventually was given a garchomp.
And yes in pl she gives you a togepi, which is neither a riolu nor a gible but I still think this is a point toward my idea
