>>56403503they're ok. I'm not a fan of Kyurem but Zekrom & Reshiram are pretty cool.
I feel like theyre lacking a certain "it" factor for box legends though, especially compared to the gens before. Groudon/Kyogre were just badass, iconic designs. Dialga/Palkia were novel for being the first real deity Pokemon and having powers beyond the scope of the franchise up until that point (even if it was a questionable choice).
but these guys...idk, they're cool, but they're kind of just yugioh dragons and their lore is kind of convulted and not that interesting. I don't think the Tao theme is very well explored either.
cool Pokemon, deserved better execution in the plot. it kind of feels like GF wrote all the N/Ghetsis drama first, and then forgot they had to write the dragons in there and didn't know what to do with them. as opposed to RSE and DPPT where the antagonist's plans relate directly to the legendary's powers. the truth and ideals thing is too abstract for pokemon and not conveyed well through the Pokemon. like, Kyogre embodied storms by summoning rain in battle. Palkia's power is
evoked.by the imagery of its signature movie Spacial Rend. But how does Reshiram represent 'truth' besides the fact that you're told so in dialogue? they just didn't sell it to me
