I played Stadium / Stadium 2 minigames a lot. The new games need something like that. They already more or less have the other stuff that made Stadium good apart from the announcer.

This entire era has been the era of missed opportunity. At least the 3DS games attempted StreetPass at some point.

It goes beyond just HOME. As a storage app I actually enjoy HOME because it satisfied my storage and catalog autism in amazing ways, but it just feels like previous ideas that can be iterated on are just not.
For example, the display showcases in Box- perfect thing to implement in HOME to have an actual showcase of a collection on a profile, especially since everything is cloud based anyway but has otherwise been completely abandoned.

I think it would be better to just roll these into the main games. Stadium is effectively just the Battle Tower. The rules are all the same with a few add-ons for the different formats like using unevolved stuff and level 50 vs 100, which matters way less now with the way egg moves work.
