>>56415004I mean like their actual first reveals ever. The anime wasn't always the first place to show these Pokémon. For example, pre-Gen V, Zoroark first appeared as a silhouette in December 2009 as promotion for the summer 2010 movie which was being called Ruler of Illusions - Z. It was officially revealed next month in CoroCoro with Zorua, we got game titles and logos a couple months later from a website update, and actual screenshots in CoroCoro in April 2010 (I remember doing driver's ed at the time).
But in the anime itself, Zorua and Zoroark may have appeared in the movie, Victini appeared after the credits as a short tease for the next movie, and there was even a reference to Woobat on a guy's hat, but it took until the BW anime in September for Gen V Pokémon to appear outside a movie. But we knew tons of Gen V Pokémon from CoroCoro, Pokémon Sunday, demos, etc.
