What happened to the Pokemon's online communities? Nowadays, any place you go to is either too dead or too active. Not to mention, there isn't much interactivity with the games. Just people talking nonsense into a void. Hell, wifi general was something that hadn't had a thread here for months for quite some time. No one even plays the games anymore!

Not to mention, there is hardly any choice on where you want to go. Want to just talk about Pokemon openly, not really caring to build friendships. Talk here then! Except, most people here don't mean anything they say, as their entire existence is ironic shitposting, and they haven't interacted with Pokemon media in years. Go on reddit, most of them are children or extremely passive aggressive manchildren. Don't even mention the /vp/ discord. It's an extremely weird combination of the two above personalities. Where else do you go? Where am I supposed to go to play online on older games? What happened to the variety in this community? There used to be countless irc channels for Pokemon discussion (hell, serebii even had one), tons of html chatboxes, forums, etc. Maybe it's just dead internet theory and the consolidation of multiple webspaces into central webspaces causing this feeling.
