BTW, I know that supposedly balls make the pokemon weaker, so he wanted to use the red chain so to not limit the power of dialga and palkia, but once the lake spirits broke it (if I were him I'd have killed them the second I finished red chain but whatever) he could've caught either Dialga and time traveled back to kill the lake spirits like he should have, orPalkia and teleported tf out.
